Founded in 2011, the company is focused on developing innovative technologies to generate hepatocytes for the pharmaceutical industry. Presently, it plays an important role in a project funded by the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine (CIRM) for generating human induced hepatic cells (iHep cells). Furthermore, Hepatoscience, Inc. is developing unique IPs for establishing novel methods of generating hepatocytes, including ES cell-derived hepatocytes, iHep cells and induced hepatic stem cells (iHepSCs).
